One of my chickens isn't walking on her talons. It's more like she's walking on her elbows. Her leg can be straightened and it doesn't seem to bother her, but her talons won't spread out. I dont see any sores or lesions. She has always been the smaller one of the 3 but I dont think shes losing weight. I first noticed her condition last night when I was cleaning their pen. They live in a penned off area of my rabbits room with a box in one corner that has paper bedding in it. On a foam floor with plastic sheeting over top. She is a rode island red about 6 weeks old. The other 2 birds are not having this problem. She is eating and drinking. I haven't noticed any abnormal poop. So far I have increased her vitamin c intake and electrolytes. I would like to fix her myself if it's possible. But if the only option is to take her to the vet I will do that. I had them all separated for about an hour today but they complained quite loudly and Gloria and Betty escaped to find Abigail so they are all back together.
What is wrong with her? How do I help her?
