One of my chickens started crowing today..... which one is it?

That's why we ask how old. At this young age, it's pretty much about the comb. This bird has what looks to be a pea comb, so it's not as large as a straight comb, but for a pea comb it's large and red for the age of the bird. I can't see well in the pics, but I believe if you looked at the bird full profile you'd see darker shading of the red color on the wings, that's also a male sign.

thanks. I will try to take better pics of just that chicken tomorrow. it is hard because out of my 4 chickens it's the least friendly and tries to run away from me!

If he runs first maybe afraid of the shillet or pot! Comb is what we're looking at . Silkies are harder to see they have a funny or differant crow. You may be able to see bumps more were spurs will be. The other red one maybe develop more comb and be roo to kinda early to tell for sure. If you watch them in mornings you should see the crower. Best to you .. PS -- bygger comb an redness bumps bone size signs of roo.s..

HAVE you caught that crazy chicken crowing ? I buy some young pullets that crow after I keep them awhile!
