One of my chicks chirp sounds different than others. Sick , plugged nare?

Are you using DE in the brooder? I used it when the were little to treat leg mites, but it caused my pullet to start having a nasally chirp and it gave another one, what can only be described as asthma.

No, I don't think so unless it's in the wood shavings (?). The only things I am using is what the supply store gave me - wood shavings, starter feed, and electrolyte powder for the water.
And of course the heating lamp, etc.

Actually, yes... very! The ones in question are the messy ones.

It could be the dust blocking their nasal passages. If you can, next time you get shavings get low dust ones to help prevent them from making it dusty again.

Please update us again when/ if it goes away. Dust was the problem in my brooder, and if there are particles in the air, like DE or shavings dust, it can scar their lungs and hurt their nasal passages.

If there's no discharge, i would just keep an eye and ear on them. Likely chirping while eating LOL
