one of my chick's eye is closed shut please help

my chick's one eye is swelled shut and a weird thing grew there plz help now he isn't even clucking and is acting lazy but fortunately it is still pretty active

A picture would help a lot if possible! It sounds like possible pus build-up from a respiratory infection such as Infectious Coryza.
