Hi there!
Iris my welsh harlequin girl has been limping off and on for about two weeks now. No bumblefoot, but we’ve been spraying her feet with iodine spray just to make sure it wasn’t because of a cut or something. It’s part of the reason I want to put b complex in their water to see if that’ll help, it’s my other thread. They live in a grassy pen with a nighttime pen bedding is straw but she was limping before the straw.
Thank you in advance!
Kelly

That sounds like a sprain or a stretched tendon to me. - Vitamin B complex is a good idea, but i wouldn't put it into the water as ducks waste most of it. I would grab the duck and give her the pill directly, you can't overdose Vitamin B by the way:

More important than the vitamin B treatment is that she refrains from using her leg too much. Do you have a way to restrain her into a small area (dog-crate), preferably in a calm semi dark environment (garage, shed) so that she can lay down and doesn't move too much?
Just one or two days of rest can work miracles.

Thank you so much for your response!:frow Alright I will start giving her the b complex, I'll head out in a minute. Hmm well two problems she'll doesn't like being away from her friends and totally freaking out and I'd be worried about her potentially over heating in a shed or the garage. I could put her in a large dog crate in their rugged ranch or just put her in that it's 6' by 12' feet is that a small enough space?

Ok she’s all set up. She’s in a large dog crate in the back with a cut in half milk jug and straw bedding with a bowl of regular food on the bottom with Romain lettuce on top of that with B complex. I’ll get better pictures later. Iris is doing well with it so far and I’m leaving the others in there for support! :)

Good job! - Yes, give the whole flock a day of rest, if they don't start to fight with each other and she will be much better by the evening. Please keep us updated!
