Once back when my BO pullet was just a chick she managed to catch a tree frog. Half an hour and a lot of running later she finally ate it. Chickens eat anything that doesn’t eat them first, like @3KillerBs said.

@WallyG74, you’ve got scorpions in Mississippi?? Being in Louisiana basically makes me your neighbor...without question, if I run across a scorpion, I will lose whatever “marbles” I have left!!!Frogs and scorpions are a favorite around my coop.
I’m not an expert but it’s a fairly localized vein of very sandy soil along the East side of Lauderdale County which borders the more prairie-like soil of west Alabama. Apparently these little suckers love the stuff! They are only about 1.5 inches long and very dark. I’m told the sting is like a bumblebee. We find them in the basement hiding under stuff and anything stacked in the yard is a haven for them. I had a stack of tin leftover from building my coop. I moved some of it and scorpions ran everywhere. From there it was a feast for my eager little hens!@WallyG74, you’ve got scorpions in Mississippi??
