If they aren't incubated they're still just eggs, even if they're fertile. You can eat them with no problem at all, just like you've always done up until now!

There are people of a certain religion that will not eat eggs if you keep a roo on the property. I bet many of them wouldn't be happy to read this thread... Congrats on your little Peeps.

Well, my egg package said they were allowed to engage in natural chicken behaviors, so....I assumed that meant there was a roo. I have some light brahmas hatching today, and Peeps, at 3 or 4 days, is about half their size! He came from a full sized egg, and filled it up before he hatched.

The eggs I got were refrigerated, but I'm sure non-refrigerated would work better! I only got one fully developed out of 23.

Yah more like a guilt issue, gonna look at an egg and think "That could be a PEEPS!" and then need to incubate everything I try to put in my fridge.

Peeps and Wellington (the Welsummer chick) are in the back corner of the brooder watching all the new babies with a "What the...??" look....Peeps is not even as big as the new Brahma babies born yesterday, but he's strong and healthy.
