Hi all,
IN the past 2 weeks, I've found 4 or 5 eggs laying on the ground in the run or coop.
Does the hen get interrupted or does the urge hit her suddenly?
Thank you

Some possibilities (not sure if this is a new layer or not):
- Newer layer that doesn't know where to lay
- Newer layer that's confused about what's going on, and leaving the nest before she's laid
- If egg has heavy bloom, it can actually stick to the hen's behind and get "carried" out of the nest. Once the bloom dries enough the egg will fall wherever the bird happens to be.

This morning I witnessed my Lorp get up with a egg stuck to her fluff, lol, so I'm guessing that you're correct! Thank you for your input!
