I went out today and noticed my 2.5 year old buff Orpington has lost nearly all her wing feathers. We did have loads of kids in the coop all afternoon yesterday for a kids party, so maybe she got overstressed? She's not a great layer, paper thin shells no matter what supplements I give, and was the runt of my first round of chicks - but since shel's the sole survivor, she is now queen of the roost with the other 8 hens that came onboard about 6 months ago. No other chickens are losing feathers. We don't have any country vets close by, so I'd love to figure out what this is. I don't ever remember her looking like this before, and it's seems quite sudden (no more than 1 week, since I've been somewhat distracted by holidays.). Is this molting, even though i don't remember it in prior years?

This sounds like she is molting. Check her to see if she's losing feathers anywhere else. At her age this sounds like her real first molt where all her feathers will be coming out. It usually starts on her head and moves to her tail by the time she's done.
