One of my Peacocks is dead...

I am so upset.

This is an older bird, near as I can figure about 20 years old. He wasn't sick at all, so I think something got him.

I think it might have been a dog because his body was down at the neighbors. They called me. Had it been, say, a fox, the fox would probably have carried it off.

He isn't afraid of dogs because my dogs don't hurt them.

There was a huge commotion, from the Peafowl and the Guineas, and I did go out, armed, but couldn't see anything.

He was an India Blue, known as Big Bird.

Goodbye, Big Bird.

I am really distressed about this.

Did you report this to your local police? if not, you should in case they find the dog that did it.
