One of my Peeps is missing

Got home from work last night at about 11:30. When I went to check the the guys and gals I found that nobody had closed the coop up after they went in. I did a quick head count and kept coming up with 11. But figured it's pitch black and they still like to sleep in a pile in the corner and I would recount in the morning. I still only have 11. Thank goodness it it not one of my 5 hens! I have walked all 5 acres and found no sign of him. sigh

Well I give up. I have spent half the morning walking all 5 acres looking under every bush (and since I live in the desert EVERY one of them has some kind of thorns) and there is no sign of him. I hope I don't have a predator!

Do they free range? I can't imagine any area of the country that doesn't have at least some kinds of predators. I hope you find him.

Thats too bad.. you might try looking up.. rafters of a barn? Trees? we had one who got up into the rafters of our small barn but seemed not to want to come down even after 24 Hours.. He was really Chicken
