One of my pekins died

I have six ducks that are 11 months old. Three are pekins, three are buffs-all female. I have had them since they hatched. I just went out to see them and one of my pekins was dead in the pond. Her eyes were open and she was just floating. I have no idea what happened. She was fine earlier today. She has had issues walking that none of my other ducks had. Her legs were bowed out and it seemed like she struggled to get around at times. Can anyone tell me what happened to her? I am so sad right now. She was my favorite.

A necropsy will tell you... keep the body cool, not frozen, and find a university or other institution to do one. Your state ag school may do it free.
