One of my quails is half Chinese and half Japanese

I have 2 different kinds of quails in the same cage, Chinese and Japanese. I saw Japanese quail breeding with Chinese quail. After incubating Chinese quail eggs I saw one that has black lines on him like Japanese quails should have, but he is a lot smaller then Japanese baby quail but looks the same( he hatched from Chinese egg)
Could it be half Chinese and half Japanese?
