One of my roosters got beat up pretty bad yesterday.

I held him for awhile & tried to sooth him, then I put him in a kennel box overnight. He's been crowin' today, but I think he can't see. Should I give him a few more days in case his vision comes back or should he be supper?

Crowing is a good sign. Use a finger to point at his eye without actually touching his eye, if he blinks, he can see. You can also get a favorite treat, wave it in front of him and watch him if he comes after it. Then move it around slowly and watch his head movements if he follows your hand movement. If there's cuts or scratches in or around the eye, I recommend putting terramycin eye ointment in his eyes to prevent infection.
