Hi all, one of our bobwhite that hatched yesterday has a deformed foot, last night she/he had a hard time getting up, would just move his/her legs around now today he/she is up, doesn't move as quickly as the others do but still moves! What should one do? Thanks!

Ok i went back out by the babies and s/he has one broken toe, I go him/her to drink so that way s/he won't dehydrate but any advice would be appreciated, thanks!!

it really is just one broken toe....we are going to try and make shoe for him/her and see how that goes!!

Rather than a boot, how about a splint? Small piece of toothpick taped to just that toe. that is what I would do for a chicken chick.
I can't imagine doing this to a tiny tiny quail. Chicken chicks are so much larger to deal with.
Either way, good luck.
