Hi all! We have 5 bantams (2 roos and 3 hens) and we thought we had lost one of our hens. None of us had seen her for at least 2 days. Surprisingly, my hubby said that he saw her with the other bantys this morning, but now she is MIA again.

I know that at least one of the bantys started laying about 3 weeks weeks ago, but we haven't gotten banty eggs recently.

Does it sound like she may have a nest somewhere? IIRC, she is an Old English hen, which I think are known for going broody pretty frequently.

They are free-ranged, so she is outside somewhere.

If she has gone broody, what are the odds of her having a decent hatch?

Thanks!
Helga
