I'm really excited about this.
One of our bantams, Goldie's, daughter is sitting on eggs.
Goldie's daughter is Lucky, and Lucky had two chicks before---Pepper and Moonlight---but those two were snatched away by the hawks we get around here. :/ I'm hoping the little bantam will be more successful this time.
We also snuck a duck egg underneath Lucky, since our female duck, Bandit, is laying, but not sitting on them, so maybe Goldie will be a grandmother to a duck!
This isn't the first time this has happened!
I just can't wait until Lucky hatches those eggs. She's in a proper coop this time, so no predators will get her chicks. Hopefully this'll all work out! Wish us luck! ^_^
