We have 6 chickens. Our first time raising them. My dad had them growing up but these are my wifes (and mine too I guess) pets.
Two Australorps, two Silver Laced Wyandottes and two Brahmas. One of the Brahmas, Starburst, LOVES beer! I have to shut her off though because I don’t know if she’ll stop on her own. Lol! I see from older posts others have found the same to be true. She’s the only one though.

Watch the intake of such beverages. The intake motivation may be more than to meet water needs as the birds can consume it for the carbohydrates / energy. Then they can get into consumption rates that get them intoxicated which birds are very much capable of. You should be able to find accounts on drunk fruit eating song birds. A few years back a flock of about 30 American Dominiques I had consumed a lot of fermented persimmons and got hammered. Flock busted up and started walking about aimlessly with some attempting to roost in open on ground rather than return to safety of elevated roosts in barn.

It’s when I sit with them. They have plenty of food and water. I offered it to them as a joke. But the one girl took to it quickly and seeks it out while I’m having a sip. It’s funny! But I limit it to make sure she’s not sick from it. I just never thought they’d like it. The other 5 really DON’T like it.
