I think it's only fair. After all, they're going to eventually shed a heck of a lot more blood than lil' Drumstick.

Boy - that close up is a face only a mother could love!

Turkeys have such lovely feathers, and taste so good, but what ugly muggs.

Turkeys are very friendly if you interact with them from hatch.

I will really miss some of these that will be Thanksgiving dinner for several people.

My turkeys are so friendly they've become obnoxious HAHAHA

It's our own fault! We spoiled them from the time we got them as day olds. They have free range of the yard, and have had that all summer, choose which barn/out building they want to sleep in, and it is different each night depending on their moods...and we hand feed them treats.

Turkeys are sooooo smart! Mine know when I am coming out to feed the chickens, and it matters NOT if they can see me, if they hear me, they come running. They know I always have treats. The biggest tom (dh calls him Long Neck) has figured out that he is tall enough to knock the feed scoop in my hand, no matter how much I try not to let him, and reward himself with some feed falling to the ground. The little snot LOL

Well the wound must be bad. Because the Drumstick I have been reading about would of removed that turkey's head and then come in to wash the wound. So I am very concerned on how bad that wound is, have you taken him in to get that finger but back on ?
