One of the Welsh Harlequins is laying!!!

Yay! Go WH girls! Hearing about your girls and seeing their pictures has made me want some WH; I'm definitely ordering some in the spring!

My Khaki Campbell group of 8 started recently, too. I've gotten 4 small eggs the past 2 mornings. Before that, one started laying, at first little eggs, and then I got a few really big eggs, just one each day. I can't figure out if the one who laid those is now laying them later in the day in some unknown location, or if she went back to laying small eggs, or if she has stopped laying altogether. On Saturday I am leaving them all in the coop until about 10 am and then in a small run until at least noon--I want all the eggs!

Aww... I loved my pekin's first egg. It was so tiny. Now she's laying some big old eggs! I know who lays what so far because I have 1 pekin, 1 rouen, and 1 cayuga. The pekin is the only one laying thus far. I'm still waiting on the rouen. She should be starting any time being as she and the pekin are just about the same age. The cayuga probably won't start laying any time soon. She's only like 3 1/2 months old. The crest pekins are still babies so I'm not expecting anything until next year. Congrats Wifezilla. Now, when are you going to start hatching those bad boys? Lol...

Hatching? LOL. Well, Tweak the drake has a little more growing up yo do. He is getting ideas, but he hasn't figured everything out yet
