One really loud, really bossy RIR, is it actually a Roo?

Is it a Hen or a Roo?

  • It’s definitely a hen.

  • It’s definitely a rooster.

  • I’m not sure either.

Looks exactly like our RLR hens. Just to let you know, every one of our adult RLR hens is a bossy little brat, so keep an eye on the younger one!
Not to be insensitive but if the younger one turns out like that, with the current power struggle between our Black Star who was used to being in charge and this RIR, the younger one will be a Sunday roast chicken instead of a laying hen!! Lol

the sneaky little clucker was escaping to a spot just outside the fence, behind a plant, where she had kindly left us exactly one dozen eggs to find!! Lol Her annoyingly loud sqwauking thing is what finally gave her away back there, you basically can’t see her at all from the house unless you are directly looking for her and you’d still have to follow that ridiculous sound to find her and her hidden stash!! Lol Silly bird!! We have named her “The Red Queen”
