Now that the shop was closed and empty, Megan needed to attend a few small things before going home. Having finished counting the money, she took the cash box behind the curtain into the kitchen. She went to the wall where a picture of two butterflies hung and took it down. Removing them revealed a small safe with two locks, one coded and one for a key. She cupped her hand around one side, just in case she was being watched, and typed in the code. Then, using the key that hung around her neck and under her shirt, she unlocked it. After inserting the box and locking it up again, she put a few things away then gathered her stuff to leave.
By the time she was ready, it was beginning to rain. She stood at the door a few minutes, smiling but feeling very frowny, debating wether to head home or not.
Megan looked across the street at the mask shop. They were already closed, otherwise she would of popped in there to say hi. The police station looked to still be open. Adjusting her purse on her arm, she exited, locking the door behind her, and headed for the station.
She made it through the door just in time as the rain began pouring down.
