I never even thought of that! LOL Guess she was more concerned with being warm than being clean? lol
That just cracks me up all the more!
I went in search of pictures and looking at them brought back memories of these two. When they were younger she would not let him out of her sight. If he was too far she would squawk and squawk, which of course made him run right over to her. He simply was not allowed to be away from her and boy did he come runnin if she cried for him. It was SO funny! Here are a few pictures of these two when they were younger....
Baby pics... My 2yo ds won him (and named him Tractor) he happened to be colored the same color he is now... LOL We already had chicks so we figured we could add a few more and picked up little Carebear and 2 others at the feed store to keep him company since he was just too young to put with the other chicks. Guess it was love at first sight!
Which only encouraged my new addiction to chickens! And made my now 15 yo son very very happy!
Here she is making sure he doesnt get away from her!
And this is our beautiful Tractor now... he really is a patient Rooster!
And Carebear now
I have Sooo many pictures of our chickens, I think sometimes the kids get jelous... hahaha Carebear and Tractor dont spend as much time together as they used to now that he has so much responsibility but it was sure nice to see he still takes good care of her.
