One Standard Raised with 3 Bantams?

We are new to raising chickens... We currently have 3 (2 week old) bantam chicks. We would like to add one more chick to our little flock. My husband would love to have a barred rock. Could having one standard pullet be an issue with bantams?

We live in the 'burbs, so we'll need to rehome any Roos.

Also, at what age can you start to tell a bantam's sex?

Thank you!

I wouldn't think you'd have a problem, especially considering the big girl will be outnumbered, and especially if you get it as a chick and raise them together.

As for sexing your bantams, I think it depends on the breed. I have two silkies that I'm sure I won't be sure what they are until they either crow or lay an egg, but most of the other breeds you can tell much earlier. Post some pics in the What Breed of Gender is This section and see what responses you get!
