OK I have one young one at 11 weeks old still fooling me. I just got rid of 6 roosters out of a straight run and I kept this one because I am not sure yet.

These are EE and Buff Orpington mixed.

The first four pictures are of the chicken in question and the other pictures are reference pictures of "it's" brothers and sisters! This one in question is right in the middle of having more comb than the pullets I know for sure and yet not as big or red as the for sure cockerels etc... The bigger cockerel already has pointed saddle feathers while this one in question are so far round etc... They are all the same age but growing at different rates. But it's still iffy to me. What say you?

Hmmm????

All cockerels except for the white pullet in picture #5
What makes you so sure the first chicken in the first four pictures is a cockerel. The other cockerels I just got rid of had bigger and more red combs as well compared to the one in question. I know the others are cockerels except the mostly white one. I was just posting those for reference as to the brothers and sisters of the one in question.

This one still has a little bit of pinkish to it's comb and not as big either. Can you explain why it looks like a cockerel to you? Trying to learn here! The others were easy. This one I can't see myself just yet.

His saddle and wing feathers are starting to get pointed, his coloring is male-specific, and his comb is redder than it would be if he was a pullet.

I'd also say cockerel. I like to use saddle feathers for sexing. Like @Alexandra33 said, color can also be used for a lot of breeds, like salmon Faverolles, silver duckwing OEGB or your EE.

I have two pictures, one of a male silver duckwing OEGB and one female. It's nice to see the difference very clearly.

These guys are almost a year old and is easier to see than in younger birds. Also this is my Batchelor coop for my bantams. They get along quite well.

I see pointed saddle feathers myself so I'd say cockerel.
