One thing since owning chickens!

Ok my hands up too! I look at piles of junk out the front of peoples house when they are put out for pick up - we have a weekly large load pick up service in our area and there are always goodies waiting for me to inprove my girls coop. I notice chicken everywhere now and am always looking for them when driving. The kids ask why are we going to the feed store/pet barn again"" The desease has spread down here lol

You know you really infected with this disease when people say,"There's the chicken lady." or "That's the family that has chickens". Today my children's school gave out paperwork on doing a family art project that they want turned in to display at a coffee shop. The principal when handing me the materials said "I'm sure yours will come back with designs of feathers or chicken feet"

Aww, I always feel so much better when I come on here........so much less crazy. I am totally addicted and it's only been about 6 months since my first chickens.

I try my hardest to refrain from talking about them to the chickenless. Less chance they'll think I'm nuts. You people make me feel so much better!

Dh shook his head when he saw me cooking for our 3 girls. What,it was cold!!!!!

I also look at sheds and tell neighbors to call me if they are getting rid of anything.I might be able to use it for the hens.

I have dd doing her science project on the chickens ofcourse.

I watched the movie "Hangover" three times trying to figure out what was the story with the lovely white hen wandering around the hotel suite. Really. Never did figure it out. Anybody got a clue?

Edited to add, why yes, that's typical. I am, however, trying to keep up some image of non-chicken crazy, I only have one chicken decorating item - a little hen-shaped basket. I do everything else on the list. This housing slump has put a serious dent in the progress on the new coop.
