Number 4 to hatch and needed a little help with some sugar water but was great in just a couple of hours. This is my daughter holding it while it slept.

Thank you so much! Everyone is doing well except the little black one that I had to help hatch. It is still having trouble getting the hang of walking. We had one black and white the first day and that is the one you see in the group pic but the little black and white one here in the two pics by itself is the one I hatched by myself yesterday.

Thank you for the well wishes! I just adore the little thing already! I definitely bonded!

Congrats on your first hatch. Very cute babies. I have one comment, meant only to help. I could be wrong here, in one of the pictures, this may be litter, but if it is feed, I understand that baby chicks need crumbled starter feed at this stage. They can not break up pelets yet. Enjoy your little ones!

Renovation mom...thank you so much for the congrats and compliments on the babies! That is Equine Pine but I did not know until a couple of days ago that I needed to crush the chick starter for the small breeds. My friend Dana read that and text me. My daughter has been putting it in a baggie and rolling it with a rolling pin. They sure are a lot of work but SO worth it!

I'm a proud mommy....lol

It is definitely part Silkie because it has 5 toes but it's skin is pink and not black. I was told that the skin will be black if it is a Silkie. Being so new to all of this, not sure if that is correct information or not?
