~Ears twitching in surprise at being directly and unexpectedly addressed, Zitkala lifted her head from grazing on a lugs tussock of amazingly-moist grass from a field her lips had never grazed before this day. "Thank you, Smoke," the senior mare nickered slowly, eyes brightening as she straightened up, "but it was you who truly led the herd to victory."~

Smoke's tail twitched. "We won, and I think that's all that matters" he stated firmly, eyeing the mare's nervous ears. "Is something bothering you?" He asked, keeping his tone just barely laced with gentleness.
