one year old chickens stopped laying

Hi
I don't post very often but I have 2 different groups of chickens 3 are a year older & they are laying fine they are close but separated for now.
I have 5 other hens & 1 Rooster & I moved them @ 3 months ago to a different pen closer to my 1st 3 hens getting ready to merge the two. In the pen with the 5 hens & they each have their own laying box. They layed 2 eggs 1 in one of the boxes & the other outside.
My original 3 hens that are laying fine have a large communal laying box.
The 5 hens haven't laid but 2 eggs since the move. They are eating well & there's no unusual activities I don't get it.
Where they were they shared a nest & someone said they'd lay more if they had their own individual box...they are not laying at all.
Now its been suggested I get some plastic eggs & put them in the boxes.
Personally I feel if the don't like the egg boxes (plastic crates with fresh hay everyday) they could go back to laying in one spot...but they aren't laying at all... & no there not molting they've already molted before winter thank goodness.
It's not the hay their behavior & appetite is normal just not laying.

Any suggestions????
Thanks
GAP flying low :)

well chickens dont like change it kinda throws them into a tail spin but as far as the hay goes get rid of it all it takes is a little mold and bang sick chickens also if they were use to laying in one box or so go back to the way it was before and some chickens molt more than once a year it just depends on the weather and always remember no matter what somebody says about layin boxes dont fix it if it aint broke but do get rid of the hay

Thanks for the help...but I'm using the same hay for the other 3 hens & they're laying in their communal box every day like clock work...Oh well I gotta try something & I think the plastic eggs are kinda dumb...lol

not it might work i use wooden eggs to teach young hens about laying sometimes they can be kinda dumb but i still love my chickens

just try to change the hay out for the shavings it is healthier for them and it keeps down on odor and mites also its warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer as it doesn't pack down like hay does
