Hello, I live in the mountains of Asheville, NC with my family of four, and started my chicken-keeping journey a year ago, with ten mail order hens and a rooster (that 10%er lol 
) . He is a RIR, and the girls are leghorns, cuckoo Marans, Ameraucana, Easter Eggers and a golden comet. It has been a FASCINATING experience, I have a whole new respect and understanding for these birds! They have taught us so much! Anyway, in February, we added more to the flock, because…well stupid chicken math…and three months later I now have 27 (!) with more currently in the incubator. Husband is a saint and built me TWO coops so far, with a rooster pen to follow because…yeah straight run sucks lol Thank you for the add on to this wonderful group, and I look forward to learning so much more.
