Congrats, stunning colours. I love seeing the results too. I have a young light cockerel that is half brahma, half delaware, and he´s going to be really big. I also have introduced Orpingtons, and that gave a good chunky bird, too, mainly buff, but some lemon. such fun. But this little cockbird in the pic is not a mix. At least, I do know there are at least 3 generations of Brahma behind him, so I found this colour interesting, as I really expected him to be partridge. So, I shall think carefully about which hen to put him with and see if I can get more like him. But as he´s already closely line-bred, I´ll have to think carefully.
We have been breeding our own line of Brahma for a couple of years now. I am no genetics wiz, matter of fact I almost failed biology in high school. I could not tell you the difference between genotype and phenotype. LOL. I can tell you this much if you put a handsome roo in with some pretty hens the Lord takes over and you get some beautiful chicks!
We started with a Dark Brahma roo over Blue Cochin hens and kept the pea combs to breed. Got some amazing colors, and decided on these to breed. Hoping for Blue Laced Silver....That "Lemon Blue" over Light Brahma who knows. Gonna be another exciting year!

Congrats, how lovely for you.~~Big Medicine I would love to see your birds up close. Will you be going to Lima in a few weeks?
~~ As of now that is the plan.
Best layed plans, sometimes get changed. Did not get to Lima. My oldest had an emergency C-section that Friday. So spent most of the weekend at the hospital. Pretty exciting for a while but everything worked out ok. A little different chick picture, my first grandchild.

He looks to be a black to me.
Now to your pullet. I can't make up my mind if I think she is a very light blue, or possibly a dark splash. Leaning toward a light blue. Either way she does not appaer to be a typical blue partridge color. Wondering if she is buff, and the enhancing/inhibiting genetics that turn a gold bird buff maybe is also why her pecilled feather pattern is so light. Never dealt with buffs much so never red up on the finer points to their genetics. Which I need to, because a suprising number of the chicks out of the blue/splash red columbian breeding have turned out a buffish base color.
Breeding her to yor black male will tell us what she is. If you get a 50/50 blue/black hatch she is blue. If you get a 100% blue hatch, she is splash.
Crossing your male to buff Brahma females should produce chicks looking much more columbian patterned, but I would expect to see some extra ticking showing. Maybe some smut, or mossy
pattern on the cushion of the females.
Just to give you something else to worry about, when looking back at the photos you posted, a couple side shots of your pullet give me a somewhat masculine impression. Not sure what to make of that.
