Lost another SF chick today. Showed no symptoms or signs of illness at all up until a couple of hours ago. Gave vitamins and electrolytes in their water , cleaned coop out completely last night , perfectly healthy seeming chick and now its dead. Fatboy is still going strong although still has red eye and pecking his feathers on his left wing only as they grow out. But he seems to be thriving aside from that. Oddly enough the mille fleur bantams that are housed with the salmons are doing fine. No illness , haven't lost a single one 6/6 are perfect. 3/6 SF are gone now. I'm completely befuddled yall. I'll admit I have no clue about chickens but I would think they would all be affected equally or at least somewhat. What the heck??

So sorry!
This hasn't been a great start for your flock, and I think that having necropsies done would be a good idea, preferably at your state vet path lab, if there is one. Before getting more chicks, or moving these to your coop, find out what's going on.
NPIP may include one or more tests; here in Michigan, it's only Pullorum, a formerly horrible problem, virtually eliminated because of the testing done for decades. Many other diseases aren't tested for, unless the flock has issues, and the owner cares.

Thank you very much for your feedback! I do plan on calling a vet tomorrow , not many poultry vets nearby but I figure ill find at least one that can offer some help. They still have a few weeks left in the brooder amd I really dont want to move them to the coop and ruin it for possible future additions if its anything contagious so I have to get this figured out asap.

So I noticed this morning that my sf roo has a large white spot under his top eyelid. Thats eyeworm right? I'm wondering now if its possible they're just needing wormer. Any tips on what to get for them?

Is it what I think it is?

Are you in the tropics or semi- tropics? Eyeworm is a warm weather pest, who's primary host are tropical cockroaches, which are eaten by the bird. Not likely in a young chick!
The best I can come up with at long distance here.

I live in Louisiana? It is very hot here in the summer but the most we have are huge water cockroaches living in the woods. I dont see how any of these chicks could've eaten one. Unless they got one at the breeders place where they were kept outside. But that was almost 2 weeks ago now.
