Love the north star.You could use the rich purple and green fabrics with either a black or bright white background for contrast. It would really pop the main fabrics.

I hadn't considered black........I like that thought.

Definitely need to play with it a bit.

I have enough colored fabric for the north star but thinking I am short on it for the sticks and stones......

I have to make 64 blocks at 11x11 or 12x12 for either quilt to be the correct size.

Oh, sorry, I've been out of it lately. I did get some quilting done on the lap quilt, but it's like trudging through molasses for me right now. So far, it's all using rulers except for the rays on the star points.

I am also a quilter. I just spent a lot of time cleaning and reorganizing my craft room and plan to do a lot of sewing this year. I just made this for my niece who just got married, its in the colors of her room:

I don't mind taking over the outside work. I would love to hire someone to clean the bathrooms, do some dusting and vacuuming..

If you can afford it, do it.
I work full time and have a lot of hobbies, and while my husband and I are tidy-ish, sometimes stuff went longer than it should have before getting cleaned.
So, I pay someone to come in once a month and do a deep clean. She scrubs the tile, moves furniture and vacuums under, cleans on top of my kitchen cabinets...its AMAZING.

Its the best gift I ever gave myself.

I'm still slogging through just a lap quilt. It's too cold and wet and I can't get into anything. Seems like I feel better quilting in spring than winter when most seem to be busy with it.

Awfully quiet in here! I have been taking some FMQ classes on Craftsy and I am thinking I like FMQing on my sewing machine. I certainly feel like I do better at it then the longarm.

I did a custom table topper recently and I was hoping she didn't like it, so I could keep it. It's 6 inch bears paw blocks made with metallic Moda fabric.

I completed a Schnibble pattern. I have had several for a long time and started this one earlier in the week. I made with a charm pack from Kansas Trouble Quilters by Moda and a background fabric. I pieced and FMQed it on my Brother.

Still working on feathers, but all in all I am very happy with this.

What is everyone working on?
