Online chicks dying

I have one left alive. I’ve been giving them electrolytes and probiotics and egg yolk, I’ve even tried a lil sugar water. The one that’s left seems to be doing well, I hope it continues to survive and thrive.
So sorry. MPC (bantam) shipments have seriously failed to my location, twice. (only 2 out of 30 chicks survived) My route is hard on chicks. Other hatcheries and breeders have delivered quite well, some with no losses.

Poultry nuti drench has amino acids those electrolyte packs don't.. and is patented for rapid absorption without having to go all the way through the digestive tract in order to work.. IF you're getting more shipped chicks. It doesn't have the electrolytes though.. I usually add my own and include both in the first 2-3 days or 1 water dish worth for shipped chicks. No supplement should be given more than 10 days in a row.

Also.. getting everyone drinking an hour or two before adding feed can be helpful.. some hatcheries are now recommending this practice.

Crushing the crumble a little extra into powder (or wetting into a moist mash), increased my survival rates.

With each passing hour/day.. your current survivor's survival rate increases.. :wee

Hopefully your lone baby will get friends soon! :fl

Keep her good company, tuck her into your neck often (it's therapeutic for both parties) and share pics, let us celebrate her life with you. ;)

Thank you for the advice, and I’m glad I’m not the only one whose lost so many. It had me feeling so bad. I am making a shipment date with MPC. My one chick is doing well, and is healthy. I went to the feed store, got two other chicks and quarantined them. So now my chick has a couple buddies for when I’m not around.

Having a similar issue with my 2 bantams from MPC that arrived 09/08/22 thankfully scheduled my vacation days with their shipment but this has been a hot mess. Hope your one chicks doing okay!
