I don't think that's cool. I think its okay to roll back after a certain amount of time, but not allowing people to swap is just being vindictive and exclusionary.

That swap thread can be somewhat cutthroat and people can get intense. I think the moderators on this thread are in the mindset that its winter now and once the summer comes things will pick up. Someone will come along and claim Silkies eggs. Its cool, be mellow man.
I'm getting more ducks (Mallards, Cayugas & Muscovies) in the next 2 weeks. I can always delay your shipment until your bator empties. Not everyone is a type A ninja swapper. Some people like myself enjoy the more low key swaps like this one and the other two crazy egg swaps and the SQ swap (which, by the way, I have personally stalled with an offer of Paypal no less!). But its cool. I would personally love to claim another of Silkie's hens choices, her eggs are very fertile and they arrive in good shape. My incubator is full to capacity for the next month and a half, I can't claim any more eggs unless I get a cabinet incubator. I think a lot of people on this swap might be in the same boat. Eventually, our incubators will empty out and someone will claim Silkies eggs.
Mine are likely hatchery stock. I acquired 1 flock of 7 a couple weeks ago & am picking up another 3-4 hens from another location in a week or 2. They are very nice, well shaped, healthy birds though. Here is a pic. They were playing in their pool & then in the mud so are a bit dirty.Hey silkies, where did your pekins come from? I might want to get those to add some new blood to mine but all I got to offer is some more Pekin eggs in exchange or some EE eggs!
