I don't think that's cool. I think its okay to roll back after a certain amount of time, but not allowing people to swap is just being vindictive and exclusionary.

No actually its an effective rule to keep things moving. Works very well on the other swap thread, if you stall the thread for more than 24 hrs you're done for the week.

That swap thread can be somewhat cutthroat and people can get intense. I think the moderators on this thread are in the mindset that its winter now and once the summer comes things will pick up. Someone will come along and claim Silkies eggs. Its cool, be mellow man.

Keep in mind that parts of the country have been out of winter for some time now. It will be in the 80s here today. I'm not at all trying to argue, I'm just giving info on my area. :)

No argument taken, I live in NC, its already 80 out, but someone who lives in MN might not have that same situation. Plus, we're at that point that its hot then its cold, then hot again and personally, my mutts are laying an egg a day but my purebred hens are not cool with the constant ups and downs in the weather.

Plus, I don't think there are as many people who know about this swap.

I have offered every egg I have. If there is not something in my inventory that strikes your fancy then just pass it by. OR, if you are so concerned about getting the chain moving again, you can always claim something to get it moving again.

CURRENT OFFER:
4+Pekin Duck eggs

or

12+ Coturnix Quail eggs (mix of colors, jumbo & regular)

or

4+ Runner Duck eggs (mixed color flock)

or

6+ Hen's Choice Pure Bantams (Silkie, OEGB &/or EE)

or

6+ DUCK Hen's Choice (Runner, Pekin, &/or Call-mixed color flock)

or

8+ Mixed Layers (RIR mix roo over RIR, BR, Australorp, Delaware, SLW & Red Star hens)

or

COMPLETE HEN'S CHOICE MIX (Could be anything listed above, plus mixed bantams, EXTRAS WILL BE SENT)

Not everyone is a type A ninja swapper. Some people like myself enjoy the more low key swaps like this one and the other two crazy egg swaps and the SQ swap (which, by the way, I have personally stalled with an offer of Paypal no less!). But its cool. I would personally love to claim another of Silkie's hens choices, her eggs are very fertile and they arrive in good shape. My incubator is full to capacity for the next month and a half, I can't claim any more eggs unless I get a cabinet incubator. I think a lot of people on this swap might be in the same boat. Eventually, our incubators will empty out and someone will claim Silkies eggs.

I'm getting more ducks (Mallards, Cayugas & Muscovies) in the next 2 weeks. I can always delay your shipment until your bator empties.

Hey silkies, where did your pekins come from? I might want to get those to add some new blood to mine.

Mine are likely hatchery stock. I acquired 1 flock of 7 a couple weeks ago & am picking up another 3-4 hens from another location in a week or 2. They are very nice, well shaped, healthy birds though. Here is a pic. They were playing in their pool & then in the mud so are a bit dirty.
