[Chicken Coach]

The coop building has been put on the back burner again. Maybe i can start back this week. Today a chicken friend,. of mine brought me some hay that i traded some used sheet metal for. Tonight we went to another sale ,like us their are a lot of people who go to the same sales but a lot of then where dressed up for Halloween . It was great fun to see the folks in theirs late 60s to 70s dressed up. The owner gave away 25 bucks toured any thing they bought at the sale for the best costume. My crazy wife bought a huge executive desk for 25 bucks.They payed 850 new for it. It's huge and weights a couple of tons and it's goes on craigslist.

Sold three dozen eating eggs and packed then shipped two boxes of hatching eggs. Need to get more money together for the next feed bill. I swear I am going to start feeding them acorns there are so many all over the place here.
Worked on the Halloween quilt that has been sitting around. Then packing more eggs. I am thinking I am going to run out of auctions soon. But seems if I put them on the crazy 24 hour auction, they just sit there and no bids . Should put them on eBay I guess.
Not much doing today, just trying to keep them all fed and watered.
Must go sink into hot tub aahhh!

I was wondering how you were feeling today, Deb. I didn't hear much from you today. I got my grading done. Grades were due at 8:00 this morning. I had a cow die yesterday from milk fever. She was a good old cow. She got milk fever before calving. I gave her an IV of Calcium and another of Dextrose. It must not have been enough. I sure would have liked the calf out of her. She was a big ole pet so I buried her tonight. I also picked the last of the Hosta seeds, candled some eggs, and moved the bird house gourds in the machine shed. My Aunt decorates them.
Well, off to bed.

Oh heck, Jim sorry about your cow:'( I lost a doe that just never kidded, and when she died I did a c section and pulled the kids but they had been dead for a bit so I was too late. My neighbor was there, she about fell over when I did that. Well, I had seen vets do it and the animal was dead anyway so I figured give it a shot.

I give the goats cmpk gel with oatmeal cookies crumbled up, chopped apples and carrots plus homemade drench when they kid. Seems to work well, I don't lose many mamma goats.
