Dar, I don't know what you got "shunned" for, but ya know, there are always people with a cruel word. Got smacked myself here. But for every person with a cruel word, there is one with a kind word. You can always holler to me if you want. I have a couple boards I belong to, this one, gardening, quit smoking, and a police wives board. You can find support for anything on the internet.

I don't know what happened to you, but unfortunately, there are always going to be people that want to kick you when you are down. I am not sure why, other than perhaps that people sometimes have their own problems and want to take that out on others that are in a weaker place. I had someone from here as well that knowing my situation, totally conned me and did something awful. It has nothing really to do with the website though. Any website that has tens of thousands of members is going to have the full gamut of human beings. Almost any type of person you can possibly imagine is probably here.

I have also had dealings with several people here that have turned out wonderful. I am not just talking about business deals, I mean friendships as well. I have met some people here that are simply delightful, caring people. Just last week, someone I met from here did something very nice for me. You just have to take the good with the bad and try to focus on the good. Still though, I think if you are really having some issues you need help with, maybe a website that is more primarily focused on that would be better. Even then, I would be careful because you never know when someone is going to try to prey on you during a difficult time. Anyway, I wish you well and hope the other site you found gives you what you need.

I started a support group on Yahoo for people like me who suffer from severe food deprivation anxiety/fear. I started it over a year ago and now there is ONE member, ME! The owner, moderator & only member! Lol!!

I used to go on the ebay boards a lot! They have some great threads. It's in the discussion boards section, then look at the general discussion boards section. They have one called the front porch, another called the park...even one for night owls!
