I got 4 little heads for about .79 a pound, stuck it in with my 40 girls and they didnt touch it for about a day and then it was gone. I pretty sure my 5 month old babies ate it but my girls are being prissy!

Cabbage in central indiana is 0.69 a pound.Sure wish i could buy at 0.09 lb. Guess I be adding more to grow in the garden

.65 cents here in NH I got them 3 but I dont think they liked it to much...took em 3 days to eat it all. 30 birds 3 cabbage

That is why cabbage is used to keep them busy. It is very hard and a tight head. They have to work at it to get bits to eat.

In my hard cover farm book circa 1911 it says to hang a head of cabbage from the ceiling on a string just high enough to make the chickens jump a little to peck at it..for exercise and a treat..
