Only 2 quacking. Are the rest male? Pls help!

Your ducks are so pretty! great pictures.

So I have five females and one male. With my females two of them started quacking and about a week later they the rest of them started quacking and my drake sounded like he had a dry throat or he was trying to whisper.

Thank you!
Actually that's sounds very similar to what I'm starting to hear from one. It's so quiet you can barely hear and the sound of a dry throat. It's funny, I thought for sure that one was going to be a female. I've been calling him she and her for a while 🤪.

The two females have been quacking for about 4 weeks now. And boy, I hope my neighbors don't want to sleep late. Just those 2 make such noise! They are the loudest ducks on the pond!

Unless they are raspy or developing tail curls I wouldn't rule out the possibility of more females. I have some females that were very noisy and loud since they could quack and then I have other females who won't quack at all unless I pick them up and even then they are pretty quiet for the most part. Are there any that are noticeably larger or smaller? All of my females were about half the size of my males even at only a week old. Also males tend to have larger heads than the females. As far as the male to female ratio I prefer to keep 1 male to 5-6 females minimum. You could also just keep an all male flock if you're not looking for eggs as someone else suggested above.

Thanks so much. I guess I'll need to be patient. I'm just so concerned about having to part with any of them. I tried and tried to see if I could find a noticable difference in size. But they're all so similar. I'm pretty sure now that 3 of them sound soft and raspy. One other just started making more of a high pitched screeching sound. It's not as loud as the 2 girls, not loud at all in fact, so I'm holding off any conclusions.
