Im quite new to duck keeping, sarah the duck came with a couple of hens we rehomed and now she lives with 6 hens and 1 cockerel. Last few days shes made herself a nest and seems to be just sitting there! I assumed she wouldn't go broody as we don't have a drake, but im pretty sure she thinks more like a chicken as she has never been with other ducks. Ie not very keen on water
! Any advice would be much appreciated.

[IMG] Just as a drake or rooster is not needed for hens to lay, they are not needed for their hens to go broody.
