Only one of my ducklings survived

Hi,
I’m looking for advice on raising an only duckling.
I have had ducks as family pets for several years and for the past two years have bred them. I had three ducklings hatch yesterday but sadly two did not make it which has left me with one little miracle duckling.
I know raising a duckling alone I’m not good but this duck will be mixed in with the 6 adult Indian runners I have when old enough. Unfortunately, my mum is not a fan of ducks and will not let me and my father get another duckling to grow up with this one. I really want to do my best for it and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how I could keep it happy whilst I wait to mix it with my other ducks.

Provide it with a mirror so that it has someone to 'talk' to.

Maybe try stuffed animals and a mirror (that won't fall over)?
