We have five hens 21+ weeks and only three are laying Ive seen a road island and a barred rock in the nesting boxes but am unsure which other hen is laying they are all the same age and one of the buffs has not developed a comb or waddle yet. Im thinking one could be her? Any ideas on why the other are not laying.. We usually get 2-3 eggs a day..

Our pullets started laying within a few weeks of each other, not all chickens develop at the same rate just like people.
Perhaps, the hen with the lesser wattles and comb has just not reached maturity enough to begin laying.
Our two pullets lily and gracie had the smallest combs and then one day they developed practically overnight, in a few days' time they were laying consistently just about every day a little egg.
Perhaps this is why?

Buff Orpingtons are slower to mature than other breeds. And, usual range of laying is 18-22 weeks, but it can vary to either side of that.

Nothing's wrong, just give them time.
