Yes..Rabbit can suffer bad teeth issues.Really? Interesting.
Awww. Hopefully you can get him in for an examination to find out what he has all going on...And that explains the eye and fur missing? He certainly looks so sad![]()
Sterlie saline. You can’t use the same vet Rex for goats as for rabbits...it has to be one just for rabbits. But just irritated eyes...use the saline solutionA new snag in bunny treatment.
Clover Bun has some eye irritation from the baby oil.
I have either sterile saline, like contact solution. Or, a VetRx product I bought anticipating birth of goat kids, in case they get goopy eyes.
Either of those products help him? Leave it alone?
I have a rabbit now with a tooth abscess that we are medically treating. He’s doing pretty good!I agree with the person above that I really don't see anything wrong with the eye. Are they overly red or something?
I have an older rabbit where the skin around his eyes will become red, even a little puffy in the corners. Have no idea what causes it but it comes and goes. He has no other problems. I think its because of his age, or maybe if he gets dust in his eyes. Could be a similar thing is happening to your rabbit.
For the skin, I agree it could be some sort of mites or something. I don't really have experience with that, though. I've never heard of bald spots appearing for a tooth abscess, like someone else mentioned. You can always feel under his chin/ rub his cheeks and feel for any actual abscess poking out. I had a rabbit that had to be put down due to a tooth abscess, and he had one draining under his chin we never even saw until the vet looked him over. I hope your poor buns get better soon.![]()
