oooooo I have 2 pips!! And 3 puppies!!!

What a day so far! Ive got 2 pips in the bator and my dog is having pups as we speak! Im so excited!!!

How exciting!!! What kind of chicks and puppies? Spring is definitely in the air, it is birthing time for everything!!!

The chicks are my first hatch, so they are mutt chickens. (Cochin/Brahma roo, and Barred Rock hen and also Black Star hen) and the pups...well...mom is a Boxer/Shepherd and dad is a mystery mutt. There will be a trip to the spay/neuter clinic after the little rascals have gone to their new homes in a couple months. Luckily I have lined up several homes in advance for these guys. They are so adorable!

And now...in the bator, 6 PIPS!!! and Peeping!! I clucked and peeped and they responded!

Ok 5 puppies...and so far 6 chicks! The dog is done with her hatching. I still have 3 eggs left to hatch, 2 have pipped.

Ok Im working on the pics...but I just went out to my hay shed to check on the dog, and we have a final total of 9 puppies! I guess she wasnt done when I went to bed last night!

2 more eggs are left, 1 is pipping now, the other is not showing any signs.
When is it ok to start moving chicks to the brooder?
