There's a mall, The Old Mill, in Bend, Oregon that has bird prints in the cement walks around the mall. I think they are probably suppose to be geese or ducks that live in the river that flows near by but they sure look like chicken prints and if we ever get around to re-doing our patio, I want chicken prints on it too!!!

I am really thinking about doing that this weekend. I think you can find colored additive for the concrete too. How cool would that be????? Red, Blue, and green stepping stones of my flock in my rosebed!!!!! ok, or maybe around their gate?????? Yup, am serrrriouuuusssllly thinking.

No wonder my DH shakes his head at me.

George the Peacock, aka assistant mechanic, arrived out of the blue and decided to stay. He wanders about the property, poops on things, honks at the crack of dawn, and has decided he is the king of the grill.

When my contractor poured the slab for the new steps at the end of my porch, he had flock members vying for the honor to immortalize themselves in the concrete.

I was NOT home or I would have told him he didn't have to erase them. He wanted a rough surface so there was traction (so I wouldn't slip on it) and water would be shed. Uniformly rough. So he removed all the chicken tracks.

I suppose I should have specifically told him to leave any chicken tracks... If I had been there, I would have put Carl's feet into that wet cement!

oh wow,that is a great idea for garden stepping stones!!!!!! hmmm....... a bag of quick crete, some sand, and a bowl of water to wash feet in. I can see it now.
