Introducing Ugly! So this little girl/boy?? is a fun little cross between my sneaky American gamebird Elvis and one of my Australorp hens. Its name came from an extremely rough looking feather development. Ugly is about 12 weeks old. Any ideas on if its a boy or a girl?

Thank you everyone! I honestly agree she isn't ugly anymore. She's a lot more approachable versus her hatch mates and willing to brave the guantlet of big girls to get treats.

It is with great sadness that I have to announce Miss U (name change to promote feather positivity within the flock) got killed by a hawk yesterday. My kids were very upset because they liked Miss U because she looked so different from our other young birds. It is a shame that we won't get to see her develop to her full potential.
