Well, I have had no other adverse effects from my bee sting. The worst was last night, my foot was hurting so bad I made my 4 y/o turn the bedroom light off, get my jammies, and all the stuff I normally do. Forgot to turn the fish tank light off (poor fishy), but other than that, I think we did okay.
I woke up around 3:30, so right around when the benadryl wore off, and was up till about 7:30. Of course, I had to go to the bathroom in between, that was interesting. I'm just glad the bathroom is in my bedroom, so I didn't have to hop/hobble too far! I couldn't put any weight on it at all yesterday.
This morning, after I got up, it wasn't too bad, but I still can't walk on it that good. It is pretty swollen. I played in my son's little swimming pool with him for quite a while this afternoon, that cool water helped a lot!
So, the moral of the story is, when your yard is 75% clover, don't trust the thought that you'll see a bee before you step on it! The only other time I've ever had a reaction to a bee sting has been about 14 years ago, and it was a hornet. Got stung in the calf, which made my whole leg pretty much dead. But no swelling then. Guess the swelling is due to the location. But I think I'll live
