"oops" egg or sign of something else?

Today I found a teeny tiny egg in the nestbox! It's smaller than my bantam's eggs, and has the same colors and appearance as the eggs my Welsummers produce (dark brown and spotted). These chickens are almost 3 or 4 years old (bought them as adults). Is this just an oops egg, or could there be something up with my chickens due to age?

i get them once in a while too!

no yolk inside.

That's awesome! That is so small! Is it like the size of a quarter or around there?

It's about the size of a large marble and almost perfectly round. I should crack it open and see! I'll wait til the hubs comes home though, he'll be entertained!
