Oops, I bought chopped straw.

I’ve been using pine shavings since the brooder and now a few weeks in the coop…ran out so I thought I’d give straw a try. Nope, nope. Maybe because it says “chopped” straw? It’s awful and powdery and gets in every nook and cranny (even mine ) So I’ll probably change the bedding everyday just to get rid of it. On the other hand, the gals love it.
And they’re finally using the giant branch I added to their run.

I wouldn't worry about it. Let it get dirty, then toss it into the run.

Thanks. I’m not sure I even want it in the run, it’s mulch now. It’s so tiny and powdery. Lesson learned.

I’m semi ocd ..the mess. Haha. Maybe some of it I guess. I think I’ll go back to pine next.
