How about silicone caulk reinforced with duct tape?

Ok if silicone works one the styrofoam.. Then the fish tank sealer (silicone) will most likely work.. And it is designed for use with animals..​

In the RC Airplane hobby there is what is known as "foam safe CA". "CA" is what most people call "super glue". The key words here are FOAM SAFE. It's instant gratification.

But, as with any other chemical and foam...test a small area before the main event to be sure it doesn't melt before your eyes!

Whatever you do....do NOT use spraypaint as an adhesive with styrafoam. It's REALLY cool to watch...but you'll wind up having to get a new incubator.
